OUR PRIORITIES
Healthy Technology & Social Media Use
Technology and social media are a major part of daily life for young people today. Fairfield CARES Community Coalition is committed to supporting students, families, educators, and community members in building healthy digital habits and promoting positive mental health.
Following recent presentations by speaker, filmmaker, and founder of The Social Awakening, Max Stossel, we are sharing resources to help continue conversations around screen time, online safety, emotional wellness, and responsible technology use.
For Parents & Families
Open and ongoing conversations about social media, online safety, and emotional well-being are important for helping young people build healthy relationships with technology. Staying engaged with your child’s digital life can help foster balance, connection, and safety both online and offline. As families begin considering purchasing a smartphone or granting access to social media, I encourage you to review the resources below before making a decision that can significantly shape your child’s daily experiences. Conversations about online safety, the effects of social media, and responsible technology use are more important than ever.
